Team Retreats.

The business case for wellbeing is no longer a question.

88% of the UK workforce has experienced burnout, and prolonged stress disconnects people from their true vital state — meaning they cannot live or work to their full potential.

The question now is what you actually do about it.

Not another workshop in a hotel meeting room. Not a team day that everyone forgets by Thursday. Something that reaches further — and lasts longer.

At Erth, we have been doing this for eighteen years.

Long before wellbeing became a business agenda item, we were holding space for people who needed to step away from their lives and find themselves again. That depth of experience is what we bring to every team retreat we host on this wild private peninsula on the Devon Cornwall border — and it is what makes the difference between a retreat that feels good in the moment and one that quietly changes how a team works together for months afterwards.

The Slack messages at 11pm. The meetings that could have been emails. The brilliant people who are quietly starting to wonder why they bother.

A weekend at a hotel with a flip chart isn't going to fix it. But three or four days on a wild tidal peninsula in Cornwall just might.

Your team is burnt out. You already know this.

This is not a corporate retreat. It's better than that .

Erth is a 12th century private peninsula almost entirely surrounded by a river — 300 acres of regenerative farmland, scattered phone signal worth mentioning, and more owls than you've ever heard in your life.

It sleeps 18. It has a yurt, a medieval chapel, a barrel sauna, a river you can wild swim in at high tide and paddleboards for when you can't not.

We've been running retreats for nearly two decades. We know what actually shifts something in a group of people — and it isn't a ropes course.

Teams arrive at Erth carrying a week's worth of notifications and a collective exhaustion they've stopped even mentioning.

By day two, something loosens. People eat together. Talk properly. Laugh without an agenda. Walk 300 acres of farmland and remember that their brain works better with trees in it.

We'll work with you to build a programme around what your team actually needs — breathwork, yoga, coaching, sound healing, guided coastal walks on the South West Coastal Path or Dartmoor, wild swimming, SUP on the river.

Or nothing structured at all. Sometimes the most productive thing a team can do is stop being productive for 72 hours.

Our own programme — Go Wild For Your Health, run by sister company Department of Wellbeing — has been doing exactly this for four years, recommended by The Times and The Guardian.

We know how to hold a group. We know when to push and when to let the river do the work.

What happens here

Erth is four miles from the A38 and direct by train from London Paddington — closer than you think, further than it feels. Midweek availability. Minimum three nights. Up to 18 people in river-view rooms and shepherd's huts. On-site shop, local chef network, practitioner support so you don't need to bring an army with you.

Drop us an email. Tell us about your team. We'll take it from there.
