  • Can I stay at Erth outside of a retreat ?

    Yes, you can stay on one of the shepherds hut on site.

  • I've never been on a retreat, what can I expect ?

    We have been running retreats for 17 years and know that many people experience retreats for the first time, and this can be a daunting proposition - with all of our experience, we welcome you with open arms, and know that other like minded souls with be on a similar path to you when you join a retreat.

  • Are you easy to get to ?

    Yes, super easy. Direct train lines from London, and for the north trains come direct into Plymouth. By car we are a few miles from the A38, which is one of the main routes into Cornwall.

  • Is there Wi - Fi & phone signal there ?

    Yes, there is - if a little patchy in places

  • Can I bring my pet ?

    As we are on a farm, and surrounded by livestock, well behaved dogs would be welcome if kept on a lead - this would only be possible if staying in one of the huts though. No dogs are allowed in the main house.

  • A have a food allergy can this be catered for?

    We are used too dealing with food allergies on retreats - personal preferences though do not count as allergies.

  • Do you only run retreats ?

    We also run workshops, which are posted on our events page. You can also stay on site when we don’t have a retreat here in one of the huts available.

  • Can I purchase alcohol on site ?

    Each retreat will have its own guidelines - responsible drinking is acceptable on most, and you should check with your host. All will be subject to a small corkage charge.

    We do have a small shop on site where you can purchase everyday items and local goodies.

  • Are bed linen and towels provided ?

    Yes whether staying on retreat or in one of the huts, bed linen and towels are provided. You should bring an additional towel for beach trips, river swims or saunas?

  • What else do I need to know ?

    Erth Barton is also our home, and there are clearly marked areas that are not for the public to use. We are also part of a farm, and you should seek advise being walking on the peninsula, so that you respect the rights of the farmer and the other neighbours here. We only allow guests staying on site for security reasons, please do not invite unregistered guest to visit you.

  • Do you provide logs and kindling ?

    Fires should only be lit in designated areas - we provide one bags of logs for your stay, additional bags can be purchased.
